At LanaPDF, we prioritize the privacy and security of your data. This policy outlines what information we collect, how we use it, and the steps we take to protect it.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign up for LanaPDF, we collect your email address via our authentication provider (Google™ Firebase™). We do not store passwords directly.

Payment Information: All payment transactions are processed securely by Stripe™. LanaPDF does not store or process your full credit card information.

Usage Data: We may collect anonymous usage data to help us improve the application's performance and user experience.

2. How We Handle Your Documents

Local Processing: LanaPDF is designed with a "Local-First" architecture. When you open a PDF in our editor, the file is processed directly within your web browser.

No Uploads: We do NOT upload your PDF documents to our servers for processing. Your sensitive documents remain on your device unless you explicitly choose to use a feature that requires cloud processing (none currently implemented).

3. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate portions of our application:

Firebase™ (Google™): For authentication, database host, and hosting infrastructure.
Stripe™: For secure payment processing.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and local storage to maintain your login session and store your application preferences (such as your preferred tool settings).
