Cut and paste in a PDF: move any part of the page
Most PDF tools only move the notes and boxes you added. LanaPDF's Cut & Move tool lifts part of the page itself, a paragraph, an image, a table row or a signature block, and drops it where you click, on the same page or another. Copy & Paste does the same and leaves the original in place.
How to cut and paste in a PDF
- Open lana-pdf.com/app and drop the PDF in.
- Choose Cut & Move in the Tools menu (shortcut C).
- Drag a box around what you want to move. It lifts off the page, and the spot it left is filled with the page's background color.
- Move the pointer to the new spot and click. Scroll first to drop it on another page. Press Esc to cancel.
- Save.
Copy and paste instead
To duplicate something rather than move it, such as a logo, a stamp or a signature block, choose Copy & Paste (shortcut V), drag a box around it and click where the copy goes. Repeat the drag and click for each page that needs it.
What to know before you move text
The moved piece is placed as a picture of that area, so it looks exactly as it did, fonts and all. Its words are not selectable in the saved file, and the Text tool cannot edit them afterwards. If the wording needs to change too, edit the text first, then move it.
The words left behind in the old spot are removed from the saved file, not just covered, so nothing is hidden under the blank area.
